Hey guys! I’ve got yet another liquid lipstick out of the hundreds that have come out to review for you. This is one of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks which I finally got up to buying since so many people have been praising it for a long time now. I wanted to buy more but I just had this nagging feeling that I should try one out and see if the formula works out for me before going crazy. Which I had the temptation to do plenty times because the colour range is amazing! But today I’ve got one of his highly popular colours and listed down some things that you may need to consider before purchasing it. Let’s take a look!
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour Liquid Lipsticks retail for $23.00 AUD at jeffreestarcosmetics.com. They have a comfortable matte finish that lasts a long time unless it makes contact with oils or anything that can melt the product off. It comes in different, glorious colours from the most common brown nude to a fabulous tiffany blue. Clearly the colour selection has impressed me so if you like that wide range of shades then this is probably one of the best liquid lipstick lines to turn to.

Pigmentation of this product is phenomenal right on the first swipe. One dip into the product will be able to cover your entire lips almost flawlessly. Of course, if you have discolourations in your lips and it’s harder for a lipstick to get the full coverage then go ahead dip in one more time. Since the formula is quite thin, you will be able to build it up one more time for that full coverage look.

The longevity is highly impressive for such a thin formula. The liquid lipstick does not move throughout the day unless you’re in a scenario where you’re eating something oily or just something in contact with your lips that could melt the lipstick off. Other than that, that liquid lipstick will not budge.
Jeffree Star Cosmetics is one of those makeup brands which stand in between the drugstore and the high-end category of makeup. So the prices are quite in the middle range, it’s not too inexpensive and it’s not too expensive either. If you live in the US then $18.00 shouldn’t be too much of a bad price especially with the quality of the product. Similar to $23.00/$28.00, it’s actually not that unreasonable because the formula is so high quality but it’s always your choice and your choice alone if it’s worth the buy!
And that is it, my beauties! I hope you found this helpful and informative. Also for my next lipstick reviews, do you mind if I only review one colour out of all of them or do you think it’s fine just using one? Let me know in the comments! Because I know formulas can be altered in some colours. But other than that, I will see you lovelies in the next one. Bye! – A.
